1950s Cool

For those of you who aren't in the know, the word cool got its slang start in the 1950s. Not surprising from the era that gave rise to rocknroll, the Space Race, and the bikini. Something about the aesthetic of that decade that keeps popping up in my mind this week. 

Maybe it's the voluptuous women or vivid color or the set hair or the lipstick or the glasses.

I'm not sure but I'm totally enamored.
